A Guanaco runs along a high mountain ridge near Torres del Paine National Park, Patagonia, Chile.

Guanacos live in South America and are closely related to the Vicuna. Guanacos are a member of the camelid family.

Scientific name is Lama guanicoe.

Guanacos are the largest land mammals in South America. They are the favored prey of the Puma.
