Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the answers to some Frequently Asked Questions concerning Skolai Images and the photos available here. Hopefully this information will provide the answers to your queries, but feel free to inquire with us directly if you need further information for clarification. Thank you.

1) I can’t find an image that is exactly what I desire. Do you have other, similar images, with different compositions or layouts available?

— In short, yes. Please contact me via email or phone if you have an image request that is not met by what you find on this website. No website can be completely comprehensive, try as we might to do so. I am always shooting and adding to the portfolio, and some images may not yet be added to the website. If you have a specific request, do let me know, and I’ll do my best to fill your requirements.

2) Do you have model releases for your images?

— Almost all images on this website have model releases. The few that do not I can almost certainly acquire. Feel free to ask if you have any concerns.

3) Are the animals in your images wild or captives?

— No. I shoot wild animals. Any images of captive animals would be appropriately captioned as ‘captive’. The only captive subjects photographed are photographed in order to portray their captivity.

4) Are the images on this website digitally manipulated, such as composites, etc?

— Any images here that are a function of digital manipulation, beyond standard adjustments such as levels and toning, cropping, etc, will be labeled appropriately. Cloning of small distracting elements, such as blades of grass, etc, or straightening horizons, are included as standard adjustments.

5) How do you price your images?

— Skolai Images strives to offer fair and competitive stock photo pricing. I use a variety of the latest versions of professional stock photo pricing software to arrive at our prices. The more details you can provide regarding the usage you request, the faster and more accurately I can provide you with a competitive quote.

6) Are you available for photo assignments?

— I am available on a limited basis for assignments. Please contact me with your inquiry. Assignment pricing is figured according industry standards.

7) Are your images available as “Royalty Free”?

— Skolai Images does not offer any Royalty Free licenses for image usage. Please do not request a Royalty Free license.

8) I’m a non-profit charity organization and I want to use your images for a program we run. Do you allow free usage for such programs?

— Rarely do we provide images available free of charge. Please do not be offended if I cannot meet your request. I do support some charities and would love to help out all those interested in the support of wilderness and wildlife, but I simply cannot give my work away for free.

Thank you for your understanding.
