American Tree Sparrow, Spizella arborea, Alaska

A small American Tree Sparrow sits on a leafy branch in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, surrounded by the lush greenery of summer.

With its distinctive rust-colored breast and gray back, this sparrow is a common sight in many North American forests and grasslands.

As the warm summer breeze rustles the leaves, the tree sparrow seems perfectly at home, its bright eyes and lively demeanor a sign of its joy in the warm weather.
