Alaska Photos - Hubbard Glacier Photo

The Hubbard Glacier and Mt. Seattle, Disenchantment Bay, Wrangell - St. Elias National Park, Alaska. Aerial photo.

Alaska glacier photos: The Hubbard Glacier, touted as the longest tidewater glacier in Alaska, flows 76 miles from it's source near Mt. Logan and Mt Walsh, in the Yukon territory, Canada, to Disenchantment Bay, near Yakutat, Alaska. Mount Seattle rises 10 350 above sea level. Many people expect the advancing Hubbard to soon block the sea at Gilbter Point, and dam nearby Russell Fjord. The Hubbard Glacier has been advancing for most of the last century, and has already dammed the Fjord twice in recent years.
