Black-capped Chickadee in Wrangell St. Elias National Park
Wrangell-St. Elias National Park
A black-capped chickadee takes a break from foraging in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, its small form perched atop a snowy branch.
This energetic and playful bird is a common sight in North American forests, and is easily recognized by its distinctive black cap and bib.
As the winter winds blow, the chickadee's cheerful presence adds a touch of warmth to the icy landscape.
