Mt. St. Elias is the second highest peak in the US, and at 18 009' high is also the second highest mountain in Canada. Mt. St. Elias sits on the US/Canada border in the University Range. Seen here from Wrangell - St. Elias National Park, Mt. St. Elias towers above the Bagley Icefield, a 125 mile long field of ice, possibly 3000' thick, and as much as 15 miles wide. Mt.
